Sweden's hygiene goods maker Essity quits Russia

MOSCOW, Apr 22 (PRIME) -- Sweden's hygiene product maker Essity, owning the brands Zewa, Libresse and Libero, is quitting the Russian market, the company said in a statement on Friday.

"Essity’s conditions to pursue business in Russia have worsened. As a result, the company’s assets in Russia were impaired by approximately 1.4 billion Sweden's kronas (U.S. $150 million). Furthermore, work has been initiated to exit the Russian market," the company said.
